Armando Avila, nicknamed “Picasso”

Native of Mexico, Armando brought his talent and expansive love for the arts to New York City in the early nineties. While freelancing among great floral designers he would continuously stretch the boundaries looking for ways to be creative.

That opportunity arrived in 2005 when he joined forces with Laurence to launch L’Oasis. Here, Armando was freed from conventional thinking to create his unique visions, while providing the contrast and balance that makes L’Oasis thrive. Infinite inventiveness, eye catching arrangements, and vibrant sculptural works are what best describe Armando’s style and excellence in the world of floral design.

Laurence Theisen

Raised in Switzerland, Laurence, a French artist moved to New York in the late 90′s to pursue her passion of dance. One afternoon she stumbled upon the world of floral design, and within a year, she was freelancing with many renowned designers.

This opportunity grew into a passion and now she features her creative floral design every day at L’Oasis.

Her vision for each piece works much like a dancer glides along the dance floor. She sees floral design like choreography, where style, gracefulness and adaptability flow together to create marvelous pieces bursting with personality. It’s all the same ingredients you need to create a memorable event.
